having suffered a brain bleed and as the result i was left with both hands with fingers curling inwards towards my palms, after Mr grant saw them he referred me to have the fingers cut internally to stretch them straighter unfortunately this op didn't work after several months went by and the fingers started curling again.after enquiries about having pins put in to lock them into a straight position Mr grant advised against as the ligaments were going to be too strong and would eventually force the pins to snap.the only option was to be the amputation of my left little finger and this went ahead, proving to be the best thing for me as i no longer get caught in car doors or small spaces.all i can say is a big thank you to Mr grant for getting me the freedom to carry on with my life.

I cannot actually recommend Mr Grant highly enough and I wonder if I can find the words to express my gratitude, not only the magnificent job he did regarding the surgery, but for all the care and empathy shown to me throughout. I had a big bilateral breast reduction and frankly I am still astonished at what he was able to achieve. He is without doubt, an extremely skilful surgeon. However, there is so much more that is praiseworthy. From the outset, Mr Grant showed an extraordinary level of empathy and professionalism. At no time did I feel like I would be pressurised into making a decision one way or another. In fact, I had two consultations prior to my op, just to make sure that I was happy to proceed and to check whether or not I had any outstanding questions, last minute thoughts etc. I had been contemplating this surgery for over 20 years and frankly hadn’t gone ahead with it because I was too nervous. On meeting Mr Grant all those years of fear and doubts simply evaporated. Frankly, I am overjoyed and still a little overwhelmed at the results. Without wishing to sound too dramatic, this surgery has been life-changing – with a weight being lifted from my shoulders, both physically and metaphorically

Mr Grant is an absolute legend. This man knows so much about the human body he just has to do look at my husband and in 2 minutes he has a very good idea of what’s going on and a plan to make it better. He talks straight no nonsense and although he is always v busy he listens like I have never seen a surgeon before - he doesn’t have long with you but it feels long because he takes the time To really hear you and he knows how important quality of life is ! We have mentioned mr grant to many other amputees we know and everyone says how amazing he is ! If you are one of his patients you are so lucky because he treats everyone with such dignity and kindness - plus great patience with family members ! He has operated on my husband many times and resolved the issues !

I underwent a breast reduction in Sept 17 under the care of Mr Grant. The experience from start to finish was amazing. Mr Grant is progressional, friendly and an amazingly skilled surgeon. I have always had incredibly large breasts from a young age so the operation Mr Grant performed has been life changing for me. My recovery was painfree and healing has been straight forward. Mr Grant answered all questions I had and was very honest on what my expectations should be right from the intital consultation which was greatly appreciated. I cannot recommend Mr Grant and the staff at the Nuffield hospital enough - just wish I had undergone surgery years ago.
